Talk Emerging Digital Health Opportunities
I graduated from Ohio State University’s Masters of Health Administration program in 2016. Traditionally, graduates of this program go on to hospital administration or consulting jobs. Students frequently hear - and have heard for decades - all about these established career “paths” during the program.
Seeing the promise of tech innovation and adoption in the healthcare industry, I, instead, moved to NYC to join a Series A tech startup.
One of my aims is to broaden these students’ perspectives about the shifts within the industry and the emerging types of experiences that may be open to them. I typically give a yearly talk to graduate students during their Health IT class.
Below is the most recent one (October ‘22) exploring emerging digital health markets, business models. and job opportunities.
Training Trends in Healthcare Business & Tech
I spend a nerdy amount of time reading and learning about what’s new in the business and tech world of healthcare.
At the same time, organizationally, I cultivate a culture of learning.
Early in ‘22, I led a team of Customer Success Manager’s who frequently engage with our partner’s (healthcare organizations) executive stakeholders.
In surveying the team to identify training areas of highest need and value, “healthcare knowledge” and “executive presence” stood out.
As such, I created and led the below training (June ‘22) to help the team more deeply and broadly understand what key trends and happenings were occurring and why, in an effort to help them hold more effective meetings with healthcare executives.
